Featured on the Music from the
"Invisible Sky Compilation."
Sitting in my chair...reflecting
on this song brings love and piece to mind. The
perfect song for loved ones to sit in front of a fire...wrapped
in a blanket...nestled together like love birds...tiny
kisses...love just starting to bloom...so innocent and free...
This song "Waiting
For You" is clear and perfect in every way.
From their lyrics to every note these musicians/artist present
and play...It's easy listening prompts me to play it
over and over again...
I must say...So far it is
the best one I have heard yet being presented on the
"Invisible Sky Compilation." Not that I do
not like the others (as they are all exceptional)
... but well ... we all have our favorites. I just can't
help this particular being mine...thus so far...
This song cements Morgan
Ave as one of the best singer / songwriters
groups to be found! The very best songs always
tell a story or paint a vivid picture in the minds eye.
This one is no exception. Taking me off to ...
memories ... so pleasant. The beautiful voice of Carolina
Hoyos high lights the musical tones so well. I do
not believe John W. Grant could have found a
more suitable singer for his "Morgan Ave"
Band. His search for "bluesy, yet innocent
vocals" was well worth his years of effort. And
without it...well it just wouldn't have been the same...
It has been said "John
was the crucial missing link to Carolina
life long search for the perfect mix of modern blues-rock.
Add bassist Dave Bentley and drummer James Kluz
to the mix and you've got a sound comparable to that of The
Rolling Stones and the voice of Janis Joplin."
"John and Carolina
CO-produced the EP, with John as
mixer/engineer. They are currently working on new
material and exploring management and producer relationships.
John is also a post-production Mixer at Audio Engine."
Miramax and BBDO are their most recent clients.
Gaining interest and
appreciation for
their music Morgan Ave receives excellent reviews
from fans and industry professionals. Morgan Ave
headlined the Annual Breast Cancer Race for the Cure in Central
Park as their very first show as a full band. Recently they
opened for the off-Broadway production of Skip Costa's ìRock
Stars NYCî and performed in Battery Park for ìA Day in the
Park,î which Carolina also CO-hosted. Also, they are
getting ready for a Spring US College tour!
"Morgan Ave"
has appeared as the prom band in ì13
Going on 30î (Jennifer Garner.) They have been
featured on New York's Q104.3FM as an undiscovered band
of the week and receive regular airplay on WNYK 88.7FM
and WMSC 90.3FM in NJ. They performed on Cablevision's
ìSpotlight NYî in April and appeared in
Entertainment Struggle Magazines September issue. Articles
in the Queens Tribune and Stuff Magazine featured Carolina
as an up and coming musician/actress/model. Their music
has also been placed in a Spring Break 2004 Compilation
(Kron Studios, 2004) and a number of films.
Upcoming projects include providing tracks for the independent
films ìShooting Livienî (Jason Behr, Sara Wynter,)
ìVampira,î ìThrough Different Eyesî and ìViolent
Meditationî all scheduled to go into production this
winter. Carolina also has lead/supporting roles in 3 of those
films. As well as CO-hosted MTV's "Most Talked
About Moments of 2002" and has been a regular
correspondent on "MTV Hits" since November of
2002. This info was provided by their Bio. I
couldn't possible put it in better words than they already
had...
If this wasn't enough, John
Grant and Carolina Hoyos, have also founded a film
production company, En Pointe Productions.
It offers casting, editing, audio design, film scoring and sound
mixing. Currently the company has completed several film
and television projects including John's first feature,
ìStreets of Rage.î
With this newest addition
to the "Invisible Sky Compilation" I
see this is to be a CD set to sky rocket in revenue.
It promises pleasure, easy listening and life like
views. Capturing world wide
attention...is sure to happen. Drastically promoting all
artist on it alike...
